You've been reading alot of the things about this new film on here. Ebert goes in cold and watches the film once. You can't see how maybe he can't tell which character Affleck is playing just by looking at hi?. It's very possible he missed the name of the character, since I myself missed a few lines of dialog because of the crowd laughing. I liked this film alot, but I have to admit it is a film that is only really gonna be appreciated by people who are very familiar with the other flicks.
I think that it is much more appreciated by the people that are familiar with Keven Smith's movies and characters, but I also believe that those that aren't will get a few laughs. I went to see the movie with someone that had not seen any Kevin Smith movies and he still laughed his ass off.
