Y'see, watching the show I thought the shot at BATMAN was funny. It was a pretty minor shot back at Burton for his seemingly harsh comments towards Kevin. And it was funny, quick and amusing. Whatever.
My only real problem is that it gives ammunition for the drooling board zombies to start up a fresh round of mindless insults to Burton, despite Kevin's stated admiration and request for a stay on the bashing.
That is sad, but then, for the most part this board is sad.

He likes Burton. He made a quick funny about BATMAN because of the "I don't read comics" line. It was cute.
That doesn't make drooling board buffoons going on 2000 word rants about what a dickwad Burton is for saying it make even the slightest bit of sense, but it was funny and it was just a quip, not a major slam on him or his work in general.

I don't think you're an idiot, but I think you're seeing this in the same kind of nuance-free way that the drooling zombies do. Perhaps if you took a step back and looked at it from a broader sense than whether Kevin does or doesn't like Burton's work in general (he's on record as indeed liking it) and just see it for what it is. No fucking big deal.
