But none this time around. Here's what I don't get. There's a packed theatre, and only TWO people stay the whole time. People scalped tickets and you could tell that there were hardcore VA fans that got turned away as they moped around outside. TWO FUCKING PEOPLE!!! Me and this one heavy-set fellow named Craig. Now was everybody in that theatre ignorant to Kevin's other work? I think so. Because anybody who REALLY knows what Kevin Smith does with the format of the credits, they would stay.
The line for the next showing was directly outside the theatre. As Craig and I walked out, pleased by the God clip, people... not just any people, but the hardcore VA fans (there were many for that show), cheered for us. They knew what we know, and we found out that they made fun of all the people leaving the theatre before us. Hell, they even had to explain to the jumpy projectionist to keep it running.
Anyway, if you are reading this, thank you for cheering, it made me feel lke an asshole... and that's good.
