It was sort of weird being the oldest guy in the theatre tonight. Fortunately my 14 & 12 year old sons, Josh and Avery, made me feel somewhat more at home.

I have to say, Kevin, you really hit a home run this time. While the boys didn't cop to all the allusions to the great films of our ute, I was able to fill in most of the blanks on the ride home.

But my goodness, I've buried the lead. MY hetero-lifemate, who teaches English to Japanese business students in Tokyo, uses all of the other four films in his English as a second language class. They're great for getting young Japanese acclimated to American culture and idiom. (Although he mentioned that he practically had to run a catachism class first to do "Dogma" for the godless Japanese--not bad for a disenfranchised Methodist.)

My friend is a huge fan of Mewes--he called me to detail the "High Times" interview--since he too is a burgeoning amateur horticulturist, and possibly the sole blunt connection in Chiba prefect.

One more thing. In the interest of sustaining cultural checkpoints, my boys INSIST that Jay & Silent Bob return. It just wouldn't be a theatrical experience without expecting...EXPECTING...to see more of our heroes.
