Someone already scooped this (because I've been holding on to it with clenched fists), but I'm just letting y'all know the real deal since News Askew gave minimal information.

Cornell Cinema will be showing each of the first four Jersey flicks each weekend in September, in chronological order -- midnight showings on Fridays, 9:20 - 9:40 type times on Saturdays. You want specifics, drop me a line. It'll be in a great old-style theater and there are other cinematic events that film buffs may enjoy this month (get there early and you can see Gay Film Friday, ironically enough).

The speaking engagement is Oct. 1st, 8:00 p.m. and they're trying to get Mr. Smith to have a second event earlier in the afternoon.

HOWEVER, these tickets will be made available to the general public *only* if they don't sell out to students in the first couple of days. Sale date isn't available yet. I'm all on top of this shit so I'll keep you guys updated.

I personally will be stalking down and threatening a Cornell freshman to purchase me early tickets, simply so I may witness what happens when Mr. Smith takes on Ithaca -- a town full of nothing but stoner college kids and politically militant lesbians.

Oh, it's going to be giggly.

This is about to get lost in a flood of opening night posts; but I'll recap when I have more info.
