I said he was influential. I didn't give this a value judgment. It is true. He's had a successful column along with a national television review program for 25 years and more… His influence is hardly a matter for dispute by the sane.

His writing ability is difficult to dispute. He has a Pulitzer Prize. He's widely read and nationally syndicated as well as writing for a major newspaper. To the extent that any of those things – or more logically, the combination of them – can be used as an objective demonstration, he is indeed good. In my more subjective opinion, I believe that he's good at expressing his opinion as well as examining what he sees critically pretty well.

Having a positive opinion of someone's work and suckling their ass are generally different concepts altogether. I don't, for example, think he's always right and I have enormous differences of opinion from him on a significant number of films. I have similar disagreements with friends and loved ones. This is because I am a rational adult.

You, on the other hand, have an unexplained "vendetta" against him, which I'm guessing is because of the mom balling thing, since you chickened out of explaining it with anything else. Nothing you have said suggests that you have an opinion on him that's based on anything close to reason, so don't expect me to hide in shame from your cheesy and baseless insults.

Thanks.
