: This is my first post on this website. I have long been a fan of Kevin Smith's and a fan of all the work he has done. Way back when Clerks was a new release I was into his stuff. I'm sure he's never in here to reply but oh well.

He is sometimes, but with the crowded nature of the board and his busy schedule now, hardly has time to answer every person who has aimless praise.

: I just love how everyone rips on Clerks as begin a bad movie.

Is that a sentence?

: Fact is it is a great movie.

That might be a minor exaggeration, but no problem.

: The more and more I watch it the more things you find that are hilareous.

This is true, I suppose.

: You don't have to watch the main characters to get a laugh.

Uh…

: I also heard that this is the last J&SB film, is that true?

It's the last live-action movie in the series. He is planning to do a feature follow-up to the "Clerks" cartoon called "Clerks: Sell Out", but his future live action work, which is now scheduled to include a CHASING AMY-style dramedy about fatherhood and an adaptation of Gregory MacDonald's "Fletch Won", will no longer include Jay & Bob nor will they make the regular internal references.

: Hope you keep the good films coming, thanks.

He is actually planning to stick to crappy movies from now on. He has grown weary of the good ones.
