For example, on my dad's Toshiba 3006, after the FBI warning and the Synapse logo, the disc just plays a blank screen- the "audio options" menu refuses to come up like it's supposed to. You have to STOP the disc, then hit "menu" and it jumps to the main menu. Don May also has a Toshiba 3006, but his player doesn't exhibit this problem. For some reason, Toshibas just seem to have compatibility issues with a lot of DVDs. I'm glad it eventually played, hopefully it won't happen again.

P.S.- If you don't have a Dolby Digital 5.1 system, BE SURE to select Dolby Digital 2.0 for sound playback.

: I was very pleased to recieve my A Better Place DVD today, however when I put it in my player it refused to load. The screen said Check Disc and the Player said Disc Error. I tried another DVD and that one loaded fine. This is not the first time a disc has refused to load in my player, but on those occasions if I ejected the disc and re-inserted it it has worked fine. This was not the case w/ APB. I will try it again later, and see if I have any luck. I guess I just wanted to know if anyone else got their disc, and had similair problems with it, or if it's just my player.
