I'm biased too but I believe that Brian is right on the money here. I can't stress it enough.
Sure, there are in jokes. That's what makes it cool for me to go see it. Do they make the movie unwatchable for the uninitiated? Hell no. Only thing they'll be lost on is, "Who is the guy working at the comic book store?" or "Why did that Holden guy just say that when he answered the door?" but they'll still laugh just about every ounce of their ass off seeing the flick. How do I know? I have only got abou 10% of my ass after seeing the flick again last night.
I'm also just tickled pink that Jay said Boo-yah. I've been saying that since '88. I know, I'm a pud.
