Just saw it, mere moments ago.

Loved it.

Laughed my fucking ass off.

A culmination of the greatness that ensued in the previous films.

Thanks, guys.

Now...To any and all who will retort with accusations of gratuitous ass kissing and ingratiation: sticks and stones would probably break my bones, but words typed in an online web forum will never hurt me, not physically or mentally.

I'm a fan of a wide variety of films. I like films with soul, style, and creativity. I'm a fan of Kevin Smith's films. The intent of this post is not to obtain some sort of thrill from expressing hyperbolic admiration for an organization that is involved with a medium that I admire in a web domain that is frequented by said participants.

I wish only to express appreciation for the work that View Askew has accomplished. God only knows how many people there are who share my appreciation for VA's work, so the fact that I express my gratitude in this trifle of communication means very little. So, accept this gratitude for whatever it's worth.

Internet web forums have a tendency to bring out the worst in people. Reading some of the irascible posts on this site and AICN gets to be disturbing over a prolonged period of time. Why do people feel the need to dedicate so much of their precious time to spewing out negativity and outright malice for Hollywood movies (among other topics)? What happened to thoughtful film discussion? Film discussion on the web has been reduced to slanderous attacks at the industry, people who run the websites, and the people who frequent the forums. There is a faction of web enthusiasts who are the exception to this rule, however, but they are few and far between. The fact that I am even bringing this up will no doubt result in more attacks from people who will accuse me of being sanctimonious. Attacks against my (indulgent?) web reflections may or may not prove my point.

I enjoyed the shit out of this film. A delight, from the first frame to the last. After I was done mulling over the elements that made me laugh, I thought about the shots that were taken at the movie slandering web populace. Hence, the writing of this post at such a late hour.

Thanks to all who read and decide to not wage a bitter tirade against me for my web reflections, and especially thanks to everyone at VA for making another great film.
