The main action was kept in the "T.V. safe action" area, which is about 1.66:1 if you extend the top and bottom lines out to the edge.
One thing I'll try to do should Kevin and co. let me supervise the CLERKS 10th Anniversary Edition would be to do a 1.66:1 "windowboxed" transfer in 16:9 format using a 16mm low-con print or the 16mm interpositive.
