Don't ask...well ok just this one time. Here's how the story goes. I have no car(in the shop), all my friends are working or don't have a car, and parents are out working. So I get off of work at 5 and have no way to get to my favorite mall in the world. Which is 23 miles away so walking isn't happening. I take cab up there at 6:45 and land safetly at 7:10. The ride cost me 46 dollars, tip included. I bought my ticket, got a soda and some buncha crunch. As I walked down the hallway I saw "SILENT BOB" in big letters, why they did that god knows. And most of the time people feel wierd walking into a theatre not knowing most of the people and having that awful feeling of asking someone if you can sit down next to them. Totally uncomfortable especially if you go by yourself. But somehow by some unfathomable reason I felt right at home. I walked in and there wasn't alot of people but man, it was great. People were talking about Kev's movies, quickstop, snootchies bootchies this, nuga nootchies that, and I was suddenly cool about it all. And I swear to fucking christ I thought for a moment ben and jason were sitting behind me. I turned around and the guy who looked like ben looked like holden from Chasing Amy except a little bigger. While the guy who looked like Jason looked like Banky from Amy, and he was wearing a green hat too. I told them this, and ben-look-a-like said he got that alot. The movie started finally, no previews hell yeah...and it was great from beginning to end. Lot's of laughs and hurls. However as I read posts below Alanis appeared at the end which I did not still after to see. After the still frame of Jay and Bob I left as well as most people did. But this Friday I'll be sure to stay. Anywho, I find myself stuck at the mall after my cab ride won't get there for another hour. So I wait and walk around the mall until the cab shows. Turns out people besides myself were waiting for a cab as well. Before I could get to it that son-of-bitch was full and drove away. I screamed out "FUCK" and scared away some people leaving but that's ok. They were leaving anyway right? So I call every friend I have but have no way home. I call the company and they send another cab, 45 minutes later. I get in and the driver wants money up front. All I have left is 21 bucks. The cab fair is 40. So I tell him I can get him the rest when we get to my house, he's cool with it and we make a few stops for people. After another hour of driving around and finally heading towards Berlin, I get home. Get 25 from my dad and pay the cab driver. The nightmare was finally over.
After it was all said and done my Dad told me that it cost $108 dollars for the cab ride back and forth, the ticket, the food and the phone calls. He looked at me and said "Jay and Silent Bob, whoever they are...was it worth it?"
I said "I'm pretty damn sure it was."
