Okay, I am PISSED. The theatre had it showing in "The Others" theatre...between showings. When I got my ticket, I asked about how long the wait would be for "Others", but the girl just stared at me and asked WHICH movie I wanted to see. I took it up with the theatres manager, and he said the profit was going to J&SBSB, to which I relayed the info KEVIN posted...which is the truth.
Now, I paid a nice $8.75 a ticket, and did so figuring I was paying to see TWO movies, and I'd pay full NEXT weekend to add to the film's balance.
Now, I find out that my money went to "The Others", which sucks, and the place was PACKED....loving' it..but only about 5 people even WANTED to stay for "The Others". They couldn't have let us?
Also, the movie was on a great screen, but the sound was...need a tech term..NOT surround....just 'flat'. Could barely hear up in the middle!
I'm NOT happy that my 20 bucks(I know, trivial) isn't going to KEVIN AND CREW, who brought this to us....and to add to the gross of "The Others", which I NEVER SAW is downright insulting.
If enough people tell me they got to see "The Others" or could kindly point me to some page where I can print off Miramax's intent, it would be great.
