Holden just made a quick reference...Alyssa was with her sister at the movie...they never even met and only brief references were made to the relationship. We don't know if Alyssa's pining for Holden or if Holden is forever regretting the errors he made...and weeping for a love unfulfilled (OK, I stole that quote from Starlin's Warlock when Thanos is frozen in stone).
Anyway, I never actually expected Kevin to resolve Chasing Amy since he's made it clear that he prefers the ending as is. And he did much the same in Dogma, with several plot points unresolved (like, what happened to the people when God cleared the carnage - restored to life or just swept away? Were Bartleby or Loki forgiven, did they go to heaven, hell, purgatory, or were they unmade? But I digress).
Still, I could have sworn Kevin said he was going to resolve the action of Chasing Amy...not just revisit some characters...so I was wondering what he was going to do. And it turns out the answer is, not much. Oh well.
