Its steeped in maize, I agree, and I'm one of those semi-obsessive Star Wars fans (80s culture fans) that doesn't like seeing The Empire Strikes Back tarnished in any way...but the type of person that acknowledges those things is a very welcome subset of our boring-assed gregarious pussy culture. I really got the sense that Kevin Smith was doing this to please his existing fans....even if that meant sacrificing some of its commercial appeal. Never fucking compromise what you love...and Kevin...erm, Mr. Smith...if your passion is for this type of movie, play on. ...Unless this whole 'This will be the final View Askew film! LOL!!'thing was a 'One last time' marketing ploy.
