And Smith has been saying for _how_ long that this movie was going
to be more jokey and like Mallrats? If you missed all of that warning,
you have no one to blame but yourself.

This was a "fun" movie to close out another set of primarily "fun"
movies, to send these characters out with a bang. Smith had
resources to draw on 'cause he's built those over time, not because
he's some studio freak. (You just wait and see. . . I bet he pulls in the
next flick for under $500,000.)

: Your first clue that this movie would occupy itself with homage
delivery was the movie's very logo. That, and every other film in the
series (aside from Chasing Amy) is no exception. Like Balboa said
"You shoulda planned ahead."

: : I agree. I saw a sneak of the film and it was very self indulgent.
Kevin Smith payed way to much homage to his boyhood influence
and not enough time developing the script( that is a trademark Smith
folley)
: : He is mediocre at best and terrible at his worst. This is a film for
fun boys. Its cute but a week attempt
