: My question is: Exactly why would anyone in "ViewAskew" think they deserved any kind of mention in their acceptance speech? Ben and Damon won their Oscar for a completely different movie, one with no affiliation to ViewAskew. The Oscar speeches have to be kept short to begin with, so you have to figure that they'd want to thank everyone involved with "Good Will Hunting" first in the limited time they are alloted for their thank-yous.

Both Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier, FROM VIEW ASKEW, were co-executive producers for Good Will Hunting. That answer your question?
