Well, I hope everything goes well for the advanced screenings this weekend. When I checked the webpage early Sat morning, I saw the news for the advanced screenings and decided to visit movietickets.com. I went and low and behold! a theater 45 mins away was showing the movie! :)So, I went and grabbed my trusty credit card and the nice people at the site assured me that I would have two tickets waiting for me at the box office. My boyfriend and I leave and get there at 6:15 for a 7:15 show, figuring we have more than enough time to stand in line for seats. I mosey on up to the window brandishing my credit card that the splendiforous movieticket.com-ers assure me is all I need to pick up those tickets, and the teller takes the card and tells me...

"There are no tickets held for this card. The show is sold out."

I assure her to check again, and my heart sinks as I realize that I left the confirmation number at home. I end up going to customer service, they check the card and tell me the same thing and, here's the clincher, that the show sold out friday evening, more than 12 hrs before I ordered the tickets online!! So, I spent about 45 mins on the phone trying to get an explanation from customer service at movietickets.com's number, and end up just getting disconnected. I was fairly upset.

So, as of current, Mike (the boyfriend) and I have resigned to renting the mallrats DVD and making mixed drinks in lieu of the screening. Sorry to say my experience was not so pleasent, but I hope all of the rest of you enjoy the movie tonight and I look forward to seeing the feedback on the site.

Katie
