Things like this make me physically ill.
It bothers me so much that a person (in this case, Kevin) cannot express himself in a way he feels comfortable (in this case, through his movies) without worrying about what others will think (in this case, GLAAD). I am a writer, and I have gone through the feelings of not even wanting to show anybody my work because I was afraid of what others would think.
Then, I was introduced to the View Askew movies, which led me to an Interent search, which led me to this Website. I have found a "home" here -- a place to feel accepted for my thoughts. I feel that way because I actually get to see Kevin's thoughts and feelings displayed. I can now submit my writing to prospective publishers without fear of rejection. If they say no, then they weren't the right publishers.
Here is my point -- Kevin's movies are HIS thoughts and feelings -- opinions expressed in humor. He is not an evil person for this. Why should anyone have to justify himself for telling a story about two guys who basically do nothing all day long? Jay and Silent Bob, along with all their friends and acquaintances, should be able to do and say whatever they want -- movies are art, and art is self-expression.
