I already posted some thoughts over at news, but I need to show some support here as well. The old saying "don't let the bastards get you down" certainly applies here. Kevin, you've been more than fair and giving in this situation (let's face it, ten grand ain't no small tithing), your comments in the post were thoughtful, fair, and certainly logical. If GLAAD, the press, or anyone else chooses to continue in this narrow-minded, ignorant fashion, you'll just have to shrug your shoulders and move forward. It's obvious that you believe in your work and I think you know that we (that fans) believe in it to the death. My feeling is that the film will stand tall on its own and to hell with the people who don't get it or choose to react off their own ignorance. Your comments about getting shit from both sides during your career were damn near heartbreaking to me. The most attractive aspect of your film is that you don't follow the norm, you don't tow the line. In my mind (and many others) you are a modern trailblazer in American cinema. I hope this incident only strengthens your resolve to continue breaking ground and cutting a new, original, inspirational path. This is upsetting for all of us that GLAAD, of all people, chose to take you to the mat here. But our numbers our strong and you (our fearless leader) have our undying and well-earned support.
