Kevin it seems that you and Scott had a nice conversation, and while I was reading it, I was thinking its great that two intelligent people can discuss something in an intelligent manner, and TRY and understand the other point of view.

Is it possible that your original impression of the conversation and understanding is correct, and the woman from Entertainment Weekly is misleading you a little. Maybe it was something he said before you talked, a quote taken out of context, or maybe its just an outright lie.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I hope you talk with Scott/GLAAD beofre things get out of hand. Hopefully it was a big misunderstanding. If not, it will backfire anyway, as whenever a group draws attention to a film because the content offends their delicate sensibilities, more people go to see it, just to see what the controversy was about.

Anyway, good luck.

: Then, yesterday afternoon, I fielded a phone call from Rebecca Ascher-Walsh of 'Entertainment Weekly', asking me to comment on how GLAAD (in the person of Scott Seomin) was "horrified" by the homophobia on parade in 'Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back'. I was taken aback, as Scott never once expressed being "horrified" by the jokes in the flick we'd discussed at great lengths on the phone Friday. He said he was merely concerned.
