Argh. Ig. Ag. This makes me so mad. I just wrote to GLAAD and I still don't feel any better, probably because I was busy repressing myself and being polite. Being polite sucks sometimes, man.
There have been about five thousand times this summer when I have wished like hell that my local chapter of the Gay/Straight Alliance wasn't school-based and didn't close down for the summer. This would be time five thousand and one. I'd love to get together with them and talk this over. It would be an interesting new angle, as we spent lots of time discussing homophobia and how to react to it. I'd love to talk to them about when reacting is *over*reacting.
Kevin, I am sending you major good vibes from here in Maine, and just remember: The people who matter know the truth.
