Eh, it's funny in an I-try-to-catch-it-on-ABC-twice-a-year-but-that's-it sorta way. Repeated viewings might get tiresome. And you're exaggerating a bit when you way it's just as funny as the original. I mean, Lee's dialogue in the game show scene is totally butchered. and "Call me Donnie"... that's just classic.
