First off, I'd like to just say after watching "Chasing Amy", I've paid a lot less attention to (and cared a lot less about) others' sexual orientation.
It's pretty obvious that you were "had". GLAAD was just after money, pure and simple.
Their tactics are strangely familiar.
Think Jesse Jackson accusing corporations of racism until they hired his buddies as "consultants". That wasn't about racism - it was about money. But it's easier to just pay than to deal with harmful allegations.
It's ironic that an antidefamation organization would shake you down and sandbag you the way that they did, but I imagine you've learned an important lesson.
Anyone who considers themself a fan of your work should be able to enjoy the satirical value of your comedy. If not, screw 'em.
