Too bad you agreed to give them cash. Now they have you marked as
a quick target for politically correct extortion.
Perhaps a better response would have been: "My movies speak for
themselves and you, you can speak to my lawyer." It is a shame to
see a progressive filmmaker targeted in such an overt grab for media
attention by GLAAD.
As a lifelong Catholic, I have enjoyed all of your films, and found none
of them offensive to my viewpoints. If I can watch Dogma and find it
hysterically funny, why can't these folks do the same for Jay and Silent
Bob Strike Back?
Perhaps GLAAD could use some good advice ... "It is better remain
silent and be thought a fool, rather than to speak and remove all
doubt." (Or something to that effect ... I don't have the quote book in
front of me.)
