i find it sad that GLAAD sandbagged Kevin Smith the way they did by criticizing his new flick 'Jay and Silent Bob.' The organization has previously attacked other celebrities like eminem simply because they are easy targets. somebody in the public relations department saw an early showing of the movie and felt the organization could capitalize on a few gay jokes. unfortunately for them, and as kevin eloquently laid out in his letter, the jokes are progessively tolerent, especially by today's standards. smith was the bigger man in donating money to GLAAD. while their goal was to get money out of him, they fell far short of Mirimax's $200,000 and Smith called them on it, plain and simple. GLAAD should be red-faced - they criticized someone who could have been an excellent poster child for them...
