I was thinking -- I don't think it would be in the best interest of Kevin or the film for GLAAD to receive a bunch of letters defending JSBSB, when the truth is that most of us haven't even seen the flick yet.

I'm willing to draft a letter, but taking the standpoint that Kevin has shown nothing but support for the gay community in the past - but I can't tell GLAAD that they're wrong about Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, because I haven't seen the movie.

For those who have seen the movie, I think your letters would carry more weight than ones that just say: "Didn't you see Chasing Amy - Kevin LOVES gay people!! Get off his back."

It just occurred to me that blindly jumping to the defense of JSBSB wouldn't really be any better than The Catholic League blindly dumping on Dogma, having not even seen the film. Ignorant bandwagoning won't get you anywhere - it only makes people respect your opinions less.

so, even though others have said this - just be smart about it.
