: : Re-post:
: : THANK YOU!
: : Every time I've watched Dogma I've wondered why your face was so familiar. In the habit you looked a bit like the gal from
: : Bedazzled (the good one, with Cook & Moore) but that wasn't it! Then whilst perusing the board I find out you were on my
: : most loved childhood show! It was you who introduced me to opera (though Chuck Jones was to add to that later).
: : The easygoing style of the neighborhood, and the way you all handled issues which really matter to kids in an up-front and
: : serious manner totally captured me from the start...according to my mom I used to respond out loud to some of Mr. Rogers'
: : questions.
: Even before I knew what was going on, I was a fan of Mr. Rogers. I think that the fact that he never patronized kids was the key to his success. The show will be missed, but I have a feeling my kids will grow up on the show as well...even if I have to track down old recorded tapes in order to do so. He sends such a positive message, and I worry that that may be hard to find with the current rising of shows like Power Rangers and Pokemon.
: : Anywho, I just wanted to say a heartfelt and hearty thank you - and keep up the good work in films!
: I, too, would like to thank you, if you're reading this message. I think that Mr. Roger's Neighborhood was one of the major factors that lead to my strong moral beliefs, along with growing up in a loving home which I believe is the most important factor.
: I would also like to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to post on this board often enough to answer any questions people may have for you.
: [Sir Jimmy]
: Aw, c'mon, Dave, can we?
Yep me too..... although it is sad that his son got busted for dealing Cocain... But Mr. Rogers must have been the nicest guy in the world to do that show for so many years. You were there right along with him. Good job. You should feel good about what you did.
Stormin!
