Caitlin and Veronica

First off, I just saw an advance screening in Atlanta of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back." Bong!

One question, why did the characters Caitlin Bree and Veronica Loughran never appear again in any of the New Jersey movies? Was their friction? Or were they never offered an opportunity to come back?
