Marvel selling out? Marvel has recently become more creator friendly. People are doing more of their own takes on comics and reinventing them. Marvel has pulled in many huge writers, and because they chose to write for Marvel does not make them sell outs. Ennis, Bendis, Morison, all of these people have recently written for Marvel and have been more or less free to take their books where they wanted. Marvel let Jae Lee and Paul Jenkins do the Sentry, which was a great read if anyone out there is a comic fan and hasn't yet read it (which I saw Kevin buying at Wizard World last year, right next to me, man I am a dork :P). Perhaps I am a little biased, but I think Marvel is doing a lot to redefine itself and I think Quesada is a big part of it. I just wish he had time to draw too, but I think he is doing more good in a chair of power. That's just me though. And teh Allred thing, I am not sure, I cannot really make a judgement call as I haven't read all of his stuff, but his writing was good and his art is unique. I know that people are upset that he is going mainstream, but if he is not changing his style, he is not really selling out, at least in my eyes.
