Comic question

Over at NewsAskew they have another article talking about Kev and Black Cat. At one point Kev says something about Marvel dropping "the code". For give me for being behind but what is he talking about? Did Marvel finally open it up for more mature content? (I'm assuming "the code" referes to thier rules about language etc.)

can any one shed some light for me?
