-IM not sure wat trailer u saw,but it couldnt be that bad...it was probaly a convience that the audience was quiet and it was the 1 woman that had no idea what was going on...she probaly only likes sci-fi and jackie chan movies and that shit...
: A packed, midnight show of Planet of the Apes and the reaction to the J&SBSB trailer was dead quiet. Being a VA fan, it was a real uncomfortable silence to endure, especially when among the quiet was myself.
: At the end of the preview, a black woman four seats over from me commented, "What was that all about? That didn't make no sense."
: I can't blame her. The film may turn out to be phenomenal, but that trailer was disturbingly unfunny. Who cut it? What was the thinking? Do any of you, the ViewAskew high brass feel that it does the film any favors?
: It's probably not a big deal. Tonight's audience may not've been a demographic that was going to warm to the film at any juncture and I'm really not sure that trailer sold the thing.
: I think that if you really don't know what a Jay or Silent Bob is (or why it would be funny for someone to tell Bob to remain quiet), then all that busy, unfunny activity at the end of the trailer just leaves you with a whole lot of "HuH?"
