I was privileged, no strike that blessed enough to be one of the very first to witness the very last view askew flick, and it could not have been done better. You see at the press conference kev had at the san Diego comic con given a movie pass good for 2 to all that had asked him a question, and although I waited 90 minutes in line and they never got to me. However I did get a ticket so that was beyond great. I also got a ticket for my friends when Kevin's wife gave out the rest of them after the conference, and since I was front row [which I waited in the conference hall 2 hours to be] I got the other ticket fast. Anywise I won't spoil the flick for anyone, here as that would be majorley fucked up from a fans point of view, and because I want this movie to be a blockbuster hit like I know it can be. I mean if this was a perfect world clerks, and dogma would have been the two highest grossing movies of all time as they are my two favorite movies of all time with clerks being the better of the two. Oh and of course mallrats and chasing amy would be in there as well. However the fucking masses that is the movie audience, are so fucking ignorant. I mean Jurassic park 3 was a piece of shit [just got home from watching it], yet it made more money then all of Kevin's movies combined [in theatre]. Why? Because not everyone has the I.Q. to enjoy a Kevin smith flick. Anyway that is another story for another time, right now is the time to tell you guys how the movie was good, and how it measures up to the other 4 before it. Well first it is worth your cash no doubt about it, in fact I will be seeing it a few more times in theaters and am kind of bummed I have to wait a month to see it again. Now the movie is unlike the other Kevin smith movies, if you are expecting something deep like dogma, you will be disappointed. The movie still contains witty banter, and couldn't have been a better written comedy. Key word there COMEDY, don't expect anything more then that. However for long time smith fans, this is a dream come true as this movie is like a gift that Kevin has given us personally. We get to see what happened to most of the characters in clerks, chasing amy, and mallrats. We also see a few dogma references like moobys restaurant and buddy Christ action figures. So it is really great to watch as a fan, as we get to see what happened to all our fav characters. Also the movie did some great satires, of such movies as Star Wars, E.T., Fugitive, and even a little of Pee Wee's Big Adventure. The only negative I can think of to the movie, is it was too short for my liking [but then again I could sit through a 6 hour smith movie] it ran around 90 min , and maybe though that shows how great smith is at making movies, because during all of them the first time I see them I want the movie to never end because they never drag and our thoroughly a laugh riot. I also had the prev.... I mean blessing of meeting Jason mewes and Kevin smith at the movie, as when I was walking in with some kick ass cheese fries they were right in front of me. I offered mewes a frie and he gladly accepted I asked him a few question shook his hand and thanked him for his time. Let me say this about mewes, he is the nicest movie star I ever met, he is so fucking humble, and it is great to see the fame hasn't gone to his head like so many before him. As for kev I could see he was busy at the time so I shook his hand, told him I loved his films, and asked him a quick question the guy is beyond fucking humble as well, I mean he was busy and I like a mark bugged him for a minute and he was nice as hell to me. So that is just more reason why I want this movie to do very well, besides if this becomes a hit, then people will watch the ones that preceded them and then we will have millions of people become smarter, more open minded movie goers. I have a question, and hopefully if anyone has read this far someone can answer it for me, what is kevin smiths email? I hear a fan at the press conference say he emailed kev, and I for the longest time have been trying to find his email just so I can say how much I have enjoyed his movie, and how in many ways they have taught me and how they have affected my life. So if you don't want to give it on the board you can email it to me at GWBUSHBLOWS@COLLEGECLUB.COM. Thank you. - KRANE
