I went to the con, met Kevin, etc. Will hopefully get to post more details later.
Anyway, based somewhat on historical performance of Kevin's movies, the fine promotional work that Dimension is doing, and the current summer movie competition (which there finally is some of at the moment). . . I wager Kev will make the Dimension/Miramax family $66 million at the box office and probably a $18-$21 million opening (we'd all have fun with a $66.6 million number!!). I'm not knocking anybody (and it looks like a killer flick!!!), but I think there are still a fair number of people who don't know Jay & Silent Bob like we fans do.
I think we'd all be thrilled to death if he beats the original Scary Movie take, though.
Worse, what if Dimension/Miramax start getting non-fan E-mail for sequels??? :)
