by the way: you're from England. Why should you bother about region-coding? Why don't you just by a region-1 dvd-player? You don't need the subtitling as much as I do and you can buy all the dvd's sooner then those who are awaiting for the region-2 version.
At www.play247.com you can buy region-1 dvd's for an very good price.
A dvd-player for you computer isn't as expensive as you think (less then 100 pounds for sure).
