My life would be much easier, and SIGNIFICANTLY less cluttered, if I followed your 'resistance to new posessions' credo. Unfortunately, I'm a shopping junkie. Also, as I mentioned, I've got a head full of useless trivia, and I'm always looking to increase the volume of my frightening store of useless and trivial information. Hence my love of DVDs, and the way they let us into the minutiae behind the movies.
By the way - buying new things doesn't prevent one from spouting "back in MY day" stories; remember top-loading VCRs? Remember life BEFORE VCRs? Remote controls that had to be attached to things by wires?
And as for Name That Video - that's a KICK ASS parting gift. MAN, I wish I'd made it onto that show!!!!!
