Perhaps someone has mentioned this before, but I was just perusing the HSX list of movie stocks and they had "CHASING HOLDEN" listed as a coming movie. This blew my mind seeing as that I've NEVER heard any substantial rumor about there being a sequel to Chasing Amy (just silly specualation). So, I click on the damn link to see what the hell this film is and it's actually some kind of modern adaptation of "Catcher in the Rye" with that DJ Qualls kid from Road Trip as the main character. While trying to translate Salinger's book to film in any form seems like a bad idea, it seems even lamer to use a title so easily related to the best of Kevin's films (and one of my personal favorites). Were the producers high while watching Chasing Amy when they decided to go with this title (it was formerly called "Christmas with J.D.")? Is this some sort of an homage to Kevin or do they honestly have no clue that they're using a title already used by someone in a movie that used an iconic name from the source material of their new film?
Any thoughts? Anyone as confused as I am?
