Now your response from the last board is warranted.
Using scare tactics is definitely the wrong way to go. I don't mind someone sharing what they believe. But you cannot persuade others by using warnings (threats) that exist within the religion. If they don't believe yet, the warnings are meaningless. And then, what kind of reasoning is that anyway?: "Believe this, or else you'll pay!"
Try using grace and unconditional love to garner interest.
