Hollywood big bucks versus artistic integrity. It also calls something else into question. Kevin's fans have a great deal of respect for him, and he has already stated that he feels he has gone far enough with the two characters on celluloid. If he was to do another Jay and Silent Bob film, would his fans be delighted that they get to see their favourite characters on film again, or would they feel Kev was selling out - and more importantly, would that matter to them?
I personally don't think Kevin would do it. My own feeling is that if JASBSB is a massive smash, he'll clean up on DVD sales and use his extra clout to continue making the kind of movies he wants to do. The man's just been asked to direct a documentary for PRINCE, for pete's sake! He's obviously got a few more strings to his bow to go through yet.
And Kev - once again, your self-deprecation has got you nowhere. I think it's brilliant you don't let it go to your head, but I do hope that when you're at home, you occasionally jump up and down and sing "I'm the greatest! I'm the greatest!" in loud and strident tones.
