First off, this is not a criticism or a threat towards anyone associated with ViewAskew. I want that to be clear from the start.

I've always found that I've admired celebrities (or any manner of personality in the public eye) who adamantly don't talk publicly about their private lives. This isn't to say that folks like Tom Cruise don't have lives which are hidden from us, but I'm referring more to people like Kevin Spacey, Jodie Foster and the two Beths (Orton and Gibbons of Portishead) who are clear that they'd really rather not share any aspect of their lives with interviewers. That always seemed sensible to me. I simply figure that to be candid about oneself in the public eye is to invite trouble.
Do you lot (ViewAskew & friends) ever feel that you've become been a bit too chummy with the fans?
Personally, I dig the way that Kevin especially has bent over backwards to please the fans. There's no way I'd criticize what has to be one of the most unique relationships that a major director (and he is whether he cops to it or not) has with his audience. I just wonder if any of you ever feel that you've said too much? Does the possibility of overly enthusiastic fans ever bother you?
