But just in case you're not, Pan is a faun*. A hybrid goat-man, god of nature, of whom it was said upon Rome's becoming Christianized, "Great Pan is dead"*. And he is originally Grecian, adopted by Rome, though he exists in similar forms throughout most world mythologies. Pixies are part of British mythology about the original people of the British Isles, somewhat related to fairies.
