: I wasn't going to reply to this offensiveness, but I cannot resist. Liberals are always complaining about discrimination and political correctness, yet see nothing wrong to offend another group of people: Christians.

: The scripture you have quoted is from the Old Testament, which paints a picture of God that Jesus came to eliminate. Instead of rules and judgement (which many Christians still follow today), Jesus came to teach unconditional love and acceptance. I urge you to read a sermon my father wrote on the subject, around the time hate crime victim Matthew Shepard was killed. Yes, my father has a Doctorate of Ministry and is a Presbyterian minister. Shocked?
: Rob

First off Rob, I'm not a "liberal"- I'm moderate. Hell, I'm Pro-Life- no Liberals will have me.

Secondly, certain *CHRISTIANS* still use the Old Testament as an excuse to engage in hatred, so I think the above is very relevant. What's so "offensive" about pointing out what's actually written in the Bible? Yeah, it's the "Old Testament", but it's still the Bible, no? Perhaps you and your father are enlightened re: the Old vs. New Testament, but that doesn't mean all Christians are- some (very vocal ones) still selectively quote the Old Testament to justify their hatreds- what, pray tell, is wrong with quoting that same Old Testament back at them? And, if you are truly as enlightened as you say you are, how could you find what I wrote "offensive" when you yourself point out that I'm quoting the Old Testament which you yourself don't seem to agree with? We both seem to be on the same page here re: the Old Testament, so I'm trying to figure out exactly what I did to "offend" you.

Vincent
