We don't really spoof other flicks. There are definitely jokes about other
flicks, but I don't know if I'd call them spoofs.
That being said, it wasn't an audience comprised of film school students or
cineastes. These were normal, sometimes-movie-going folks (which was made
clear in the focus group discussion following the flick), and they got all
the jokes. It was the first film I've ever tested for which no one in the
focus group raised their hand during the "Was anyone confused at any point
in the movie? Was anything unclear?" section.
