I know Kevin dropped out of VFS because he felt his money would be better off going to Clerks, but I thought that was it. In an interview, Kevin said the best advice about future filmmakers is to not go to film school. I can see why he would say this, considering their so damn expensive, but where else can you go to learn? I live in Detroit, where believe it or not, there's absolutely fucking nothing to do with acting or film. Even if I went to school around here I can't honestly believe they could teach me enough. (or maybe I'm just ignorant) Anyway, point being, is it good to go to just normal college for film? Or, is film just something that one naturally excells at with the help of a few books?
