: This is my first post, but I had to voice my opinions. Movie directors
could learn from Kevin's (and Scott Mosiers') devotion to continuity. Sure
almost any director can direct any film, but to create a new one that
compliments (and rewards the audience of the first films) is an admirable
trait. I admit that I missed the whole Clerks buzz, but when I saw
Mallrats, whoah, no words to describe it. Just waaaaaayyy to many
parallels to my own life. (although seeing a true Ivana would be
interesting :)) Anyway, I guess this is pretty much a fluff post, Kevin
rules, George Lucas should be cleaning Kevin's toliets (What the hell,
Jedi, didn't even need tape to wrap that package). I guess while I have
someone's attention I may as well keep going :) How bout that Chasing
Amy. Way too cool (didn't see that until after Dogma) Who in there right
mind could say there was a lack of camera angles (useless Amazon.Com
fools) Did it tell the story... YES!!!. Did it tell it well ... YES!!!
then have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up!! If you want camera
angles go see blair witch :) BTW I am working on getting my Mom to watch
Dogma (she is a Methodist Minister) - The whole 'It is better to have an
Idea than a Belief thing' - C'mon Spielberg may be able to direct, but did
he ever write anything like that? - Wait, I can still type more??? OK.
What can you say about Jay and Silent Bob.. what a duo- Perfect
complementing of personalities, the cool in the click-stoner, and the
quiet talented introspective genius, and somewhere in the middle of that
combined personality is a little bit of us all (way too cool). And wait
there's more??? :) Sure there is, I've had a couple beers in me, I just
downloaded the Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back trailer and I have to say -
what anticipation! How else can any fan describe it? Please don't let my
lack of verbal expression hold anyone back. Ok, I need to wrap this up, I
am sure none of this is makeing sense anymore. Keep on Kevin!!!
