: My advice is take a couple years, read as much as you can about filmmaking (check out Barnes & Noble for any number of good filmmaking books, and read mags like FILMMAKER and THE INDEPENDENT), watch TONS of movies and really concentrate on what the director is doing, and try and surround yourself with like-minded individuals who are equally ambitious and eager to learn and help you with your project. Then, after a few years of distilling this information you should be ready, but right now you're not.
