You'd think that coming to a bookstore would make the person smart enough to be literate, but OH NO! Can't have something like LOGIC affect the real world. "Do you have the one they made that movie about two years ago? Well I want the other book by that guy."

The worst is when they think they know more than you do. "It takes books a year from when they come out in hardback to come out in paperback." "But I saw it at Books-a-zero last week in paperback!"

Or, in a used bookstore, can't understand WHY you won't let them trade in 20 year old Harlequin romance books, half without covers and the other half covered in mildew and roach shit, for the brand new John Grisham hardback.

Woman walks in with three garbage bags overflowing. "We just had a garage sale and was seliin' our books 3 for a quarter." So what makes you think that we'll be able to sell them for half the cover price?

There is one benefit however. I now own the complete set of the Fletch novels...well, except "Fletch Too" and the Son of Fletch novels...but close enough...
