I sypathise, I do, I've seen one of my Grampas in a grave after ten years of strokes, paralysis, and all kinds of other misery. His death was as slow and horrible a death I can think, and he was a Korean war hero, though that war isn't considered nearly as hip as WWII. I was actually glad to see him dead, as it meant his long days of pissing and shitting himself in front of his wife were over. Such humiliation makes it easy to doubt the presence of God.

I still say the commercials are shit-laden shock bites. They are. A commercial of you telling your story would be entirely more appropriate and much more likely to touch an audience, young and old, than an old man's lung. I think people have less sympathy for a group of 20 somethings who've never smoked tossing around body bags than they would for a man telling his personal story about a lost loved family member. But what do I know about loss?
