There was only ever two seasons (so technically only one "later" season, singular not plural!). And yes the quality suffered during second season but I think the last few episodes more than made up for that.
: 2) If you do stick around, what do you think of some of the later performances from now famous people (Heather Graham, Billy Zane, and David Duchovny)?
All three of those cats provided amazing performances... although I hated Zane for taking away my innocent Sherilyn Fenn!!! ;)

No date has been set yet but it is going to happen. There is a great Twin Peaks/David Lynch magazine called Wrapped In Plastic that has been in touch with people currently working on the DVDs. And it sounds like they're really trying to put together something special!!!

There was actually talk about that happening I believe during the second season of the X-Files. Of course ultimately it never happened but it would have been cool... or they could have had Agent Denise Bryson guest star - that would have rocked!!!

Personally I wasn't any of those.

I think I love all Lynch films. The ones I'm not so fond of are Wild at Heart and Dune. My favourite are Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Lost Highway and Straight Story!!! But it's all good!!!
