I forgot about the poster thing, but maybe she's playing herself, who is playing Rene..haha. I mean..say that there are people that Jay and Bob personally know, in the movie. But they'd be played by actors of course. One of them could be Rene..who they got Shannen Doherty to play. Just a guess since NewsAskew said she was playing Rene.

: I remember reading that on the movie posters for the Bluntman & Chronic movie that was used to decorate the set - Doherty was on the cast list. Most people just assumed it was a joke at her expense... but then of course it was confirmed she was in the film. Most people assumed of course she was playing Renee again but I thing she's playing herself as an actress in the Bluntman & Chronic movie. The fact that the trailer confirms that they haven't made her look like Renee (and every other recurring character has been painstakingly recreated!!!)... and she says "cut" at the end of her bit seen in the trailer.
: So there you go Doherty is playing a parody of herself in the new movie and not Renee...
